Pope Benedict’s visit to Cuba

In March 2012 I accompanied a small group of pilgrims from Boston traveling to Havana, Cuba to present for the historic visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

During the trip, the pilgrims had a chance to experience some of the sites and history of Old Havana, celebrate Mass with Cardinal Sean O’Malley and visit several programs supported by Caritas Cubana, the Catholic Church’s social service agency in the country. The pinnacle of the visit was the Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict in Havana’s Revolution Square.
